Mad Catz Controller Why It Sucks

My C.T.R.L.R was included when I bought my Mad Catz Mojo.
I found that Guide:

(one guy in the comments says that the update is not possible for the C.T.R.L.R Controller that was packaged with the mojo - is that possible? - isn't it the same controller that is selled separately?
However, when I tried to install the new Firmware, I got the instruction from the software to push the 'next title' + 'last title' buttons for 3 seconds to bring the C.T.R.L.R Controller in a 'firmware update mode' in order to continue the update procedure. Nothing happened when I pushed the buttons.
I have also installed the Driver and Software from the download page, but I was not able to perform the firmware update.
Was anyone able to install the firmware update?
There are many optimisations and fixes included in the update, therefore, it seems to be worthy.
